When I was a child, a woman - a friend of my mother - would come to our house to chat with my mother, my sister, and me. She talked to us for hours, telling us about her dance classes and the dreams she had, which always seemed to be related to dances, trips to exotic countries, or places we didn't know. She spoke about journeys in the western US, showed us photos she took in Costa Rica, weddings in Italy, talked about deserts, macaws, elaborately decorated cakes she created, and plays she helped organize. However, what caught my attention the most, probably because I was a little girl at the time, were the dioramas she made. They were fantastic and detailed. It seemed like she brought a new one every week. When she entered our house, I could smell the scent of her sweet perfume and the glue she used on the dioramas. They portrayed her memories and dreams, miniaturized representations of dance classes, travels, smiles, and delightful slices of life she had experienced. As if all of this wasn't enough to create an atmosphere of enchantment and immersion during her visits, she brought small stacks of records and played them while sharing her stories between bites of cake. Can you imagine the atmosphere that created in our home? This channel seeks to revive those moments the way I imagine memories would sound if they could be extracted directly from someone's head and recorded on a record.
